Events | Jonathan Goldstein book launch

Thurs. October 9th – Sala Rossa – 7 PM – FREE!
Hosted by Libraire Drawn & Quarterly

Jonathan Goldstein – veteran CBC Radio personality, and host of the weekly show “Wiretap” – will be be celebrating the launch of his book I’ll Seize the Day Tomorrow at Sala Rossa next Thursday, October 9th. Wiretap is an intensely quirky radio show that delves into the inner and outer life of Jonathan, often blending the line between reality and fiction in sarcastic but often tender ways. The Montreal Gazette calls the show “something between borscht-belt comedy and Franz Kafka” and the Toronto Star describes it as “[pitting] the absurd against the plausible.” Jonathan was also featured on Shtetl Radio back in 2009.  The book (and launch itself) promises similar banter and ridiculous anecdotes. The website describes the book as “a series of wonderfully funny stories … [recounting] the highs and lows of the last year of Goldstein’s thirties.” There will also be some surprise guests, as well as a debut screening of a short Wiretap animation.
