Shortwave | kabalah+punk+yoga=shtetl

This week marks that special time of year when all Jews drizzle their entire bodies in honey. A very sticky ritual, but we are a resilient people and can’t get enough of sweetness and torture all wrapped up in one! To bring in the New Year, Shtetl is talking with two spiritual men with very different paths. Noah Levine is the author of Dharma Punx and Against The Stream. Find out how his punk lifestyle and his Bhuddist practice converged to make him a sought after councelor, leader of meditation for youth, prisoners and average folks around the world. (He’ll be coming to Studio Bliss in Montreal on Sept.25th and 26th for a weekend of talks and meditation.)
I’m also excited to have Audi Gozlan on the show. Audi is a lawyer, painter, writer, observant Jew and the creator of Kabalah Yoga. Find out how two ancient traditions come together in this unique practice. Music from Yasmin Levy, Regina Spektor, Sid Vicious, Yo La Tengo and Daniela Gezundheit…Wishing you a very sweet new year filled with peace and many whacky adventures!
