Sagapool is billeted to play alongside a number of other bands, in a chock-full program Friday, October 5th at Cabaret du Mile End. Sometimes called ‘world music,’ this six-piece ensemble founded in 1999 used to be called “Manouche” until a name change in 2008. They play often accordion-heavy Balkan and gypsy style tunes, with musical influences and genres ranging from Manouche (French Romani people) to Klezmer to ska, Latin and jazz.
