In American Passages, Viennese documentary filmmaker, Ruth Beckermann, focuses her camera on the United States. This “epic panorama” takes us on a nuanced tour of the American Dream.
Beckermann’s past films have looked at utopia’s such as the dream of a Jewish homeland in Towards Jerusalem, she looked at her own changing neighbourhood in Return to Vienna, and analyzed the inside life of coming of age in Zorro’s Bar Mitzva.
