Events | Jewish Law in a Multicultural Society

Monday, September 19th at 7PM. Jewish law is part of the legal system of the State of Israel – a Jewish and democratic state that includes Jews from all over the world (secular and observant), and non-Jews (Muslims and Christians). What is the purpose of using Jewish law in this multicultural state?  McGill University will be hosting a discussion between Prof. Yuval Sinai (Law School, Netanya Academic College, Israel) and Prof. Shauna Van Praagh (Faculty of Law, McGill University) on the application of Jewish law in Israel and Canada.
McGill University, Moot Court, New Chancellor Day Hall, 3644 Peel Street, Montreal
