One of the first Shtetl on the Shortwave episodes was an interview with the incredible Amy Goodman, host of Democracy Now! Despite my nervous giggling, this is one of my most treasured Shtetl shows. Amy Goodman is a symbol of dedication and truth-seeking and is certainly a radio role model for any man or woman; Jewish or not. This interview took place in 2007 when the Iraq war was in full swing.
